BELLRINGER: We meet to discuss VIDEO EDITING and our coming unit for this quarter. When we are done with our discussion, we complete the "COLORADO BY AIR"/ALPS THINKING SHEET.

WORK DAY: We begin work on our INTRODUCTORY VIDEO PROJECT- HHS BY AIR. You will be using video footage in the YELLOW DRIVE to complete this project. Please spend some time reviewing the following video tutorial to get started. Here are some of the major editing details by time signature:

BELLRINGER: No Bellringer today, we continue our work on Mr. B.'s Cafe Sign Materials and Animation Challenge Assessment. This is an assessment project that will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and skill regarding SUBOBJECT MANIPULATION, MATERIALS, TEXT AND ANIMATION. This will be graded at the end of the week.

BELLRINGER: The MOUNTAIN AIRPORT CHALLENGE- Mr. B. spent a few hours putting this tutorial together for you, so let's make a cool MOUNTAIN SCENE. Complete the "3DS Max Mountains Tutorial." Make sure that this looks good, with some details to your airport and your mountains and colors. This will be a 30 point assignment.

WORK DAY: Please complete the following items IN ORDER:

  • Everyone should be working on Chapter 9: This is the most complicated chapter yet and will probably take a week or so to complete. BELLRINGER: The MOUNTAIN AIRPORT CHALLENGE- Mr. B. spent a few hours putting this tutorial together for you, so let's make a cool MOUNTAIN SCENE. Complete the "3DS Max Mountains Tutorial." NEED TO ADJUST YOUR ZOOM SCROLL TO CREATE YOUR AIRPORT PROPERLY?

  1. Click CUSTOMIZE>CUSTOMIZE USER INTERFACE.
  2. Click on the TAB at the top of the DIALOG BOX for MOUSE.
  3. ADJUST THE "WHEEL ZOOM INCREMENT" to be a smaller number. I have found that 0.5 - 0.6 works best for the airport project.
  4. Click SAVE...
  5. A SAVE window will open, simply click SAVE to save this into your new start settings. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE, if you don't know what you are doing...

Then, we discuss the coming quarter and how we will be working on 3DS Max for the next few months.
