Design Visual Communication Challenge: "The Typography Triathalon, PART THREE"
|
||
PROJECT: Students have been working on Typographic exercises throughout the year. The time has come to put all of your Typography skills to the test in a final Typography Challenge: "The Typography Triathalon!" You have already completed Part ONE, now it is time for part two." BEFORE YOU START: Using YOUIDRAW from GOOGLE DRIVE, create a new drawing. SAVE THIS DRAWING AS TRIATHALON_PART_THREE. You will be making ONE TYPOGRAPHICAL CANVAS, with a total of FIVE IMAGES on it. At the end of this part of the project, you will SHARE THIS FILE with MR. B.! A WARNING: Please make sure that you read the instructions for each leg of the challenge very thoroughly! THE PARTS: There will be THREE PARTS to this challenge, we will be taking them ONE PART AT A TIME for now, so we don't get overwhelmed with our ONLINE PROJECT. This is PART THREE. FONTS: For this project, you are allowed to use ANY font that you wish from YOUIDRAW. They have LOTS. PLEASE DO NOT USE A CRAZY FONT, THOUGH, let your typography speak for itself, don't rely on the font to do the work for you! BREAKING WORDS INTO LETTERS: In ILLUSTRATOR, we are able to BREAK WORDS apart in their individual letters. So far, I have been unable to find a way to do this in YOUIDRAW. You will probably need to TYPE EACH LETTER ON ITS OWN LAYER for this project. If you find a way to break words apart in this program, let me know and I will give you 25 extra credit points! PART THREE: THE LOGOS- For this final leg of the triathalon, you will be creating a short series of FIVE Typographic LOGOS. Your logos will be created ONLY FROM YOUR NAME(S).
