The INFLATION PROJECT

ASSIGNMENT: This project will involve understanding inflation. This is the RESEARCH PROJECT for the Spring Semester.

THE INFLATION TOPICS:  The following list shows some possible INFLATION topics that students could choose to demonstrate in their product. This list is not exhaustive, but if you wish to come up with any other topics, please check them with Mr. B. first:

  • INFLATION THROUGH HISTORY
  • HYPERINFLATION- HISTORY, CAUSES, OUTCOMES.
  • SPECIFIC COUNTRY HISTORY OF HYPERINFLATION.
  • THE PROGRESS OF PRICE CHANGES THROUGH THE YEARS.
  • CAUSES OF INFLATION.
  • INFLATION OF THE 1970S- CAUSES, ATTEMPTS TO STOP INFLATION, OUTCOMES.
  • OUR CURRENT INFLATION ISSUES SINCE 2020.
  • HOW INFLATION CAN BRING ABOUT ECONOMIC COLLAPSE.
  • WAYS TO COUNTER INFLATION.

RESEARCH AND PRESENTATION:  Students will be required to research their topic and create a PRODUCT that will be made available to students as learning materials. How you present this information is up to you, but it would be best if your product was DIGITAL and easily linked and shared for the consideration of others. Google SLIDES, PREZIs, GRAPHS, CHARTS, etc. would all be acceptable.

CITATION OF SOURCES: For this presentation, you MUST use at least THREE DIFFERENT SOURCES of material and you must properly document these sources using APA format at the end of your product in the form of a SOURCES page/slide/etc..

SUBMISSION: Please SHARE your completed slideshows with Mr. B., so that he can link them for the other members of the class!

GRADING: The presentations will be judged based on three criteria: 

  1. PRODUCT: Professional and well illustrated product: How well does the student present their information, visuals, etc. TOTAL= 25 pts.
  2. INFORMATION imparted on the presentation: How thoroughly does the student address the required points above and impart that information in their product? How knowledgeable does the student appear to be on their subject? TOTAL= 25 pts.
